Thomas Buffa,
General Counsel, manages all legal aspects of Endeavor’s
funds management and investing activities. Immediately prior
to joining Endeavor in 2003, Mr. Buffa maintained a private civil
practice specializing in business law, taxation, and advising
venture–backed companies.
Previously, Mr. Buffa was associated with the tax departments of
Kirkland & Ellis (1988-92) and Freeborn & Peters
(1992-1995) in Chicago, where he focused on tax, corporate finance,
M&A and executive compensation matters.
Early in his career, Mr. Buffa was engaged in general civil practice in
Detroit, Michigan where he counseled small and mid-sized businesses on
a wide variety of issues, including entity selection and creation,
accounting policies, labor and executive compensation matters, vendor
and customer relations and negotiations, and taxation.
Mr. Buffa holds law degrees from Wayne State University Law School (JD)
and IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law (LLM in Taxation with High Honors)
and received a BA from the University of Michigan.
